Resume and Cover Letter Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn to create effective resumes and cover letters that reflect your skills, knowledge, and education relevant to the job you are seeking. Participants will gain practical experience by creating their own resume and cover letter by the end of the workshop.

The NJ State Library's Library Equal Access Program (LEAP) provides free classes for individuals with low vision who want to learn about the assistive tools available on iPhones and iPads. Registration priority is given to those who are 55 and older.

Virtual ESL

Beginners English class for non-native, English speakers. Classes include interactive learning activities that focus on increasing the listening, speaking, reading, grammar, and writing skills of the students.

Classes meet using Zoom.

Fresh Start @ Your Library

(Scheduled to resume Sept. 23)
Fresh Start @ Your Library began as a statewide library reentry program focused on reconnecting returning citizens with their communities at public libraries. The Atlantic City Library has a social worker available to help connect citizens with the resources they need.

Make & Take Craft in October

The October craft is a pumpkin gift box.
Stop by the Main Library or Richmond Branch Library Circulation Desk to pick up a craft kit to make your own pumpkin gift box. Supplies are limited. The craft kits are free.

South Jersey Ghost Research Paranormal Presentation

Date/location: Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at Richmond Branch Library

Join us for an evening of education and intrigue
as we present the South Jersey 
Ghost Paranormal Presentation.
The evening will begin with a 25-minute video explaining who SJGR is and its mission to help those in need - completely free of charge. The video encompasses photos, the equipment use and spirit voices known as Electronic Voice Phenomena or EVPs, that were recorded during SJGR's investigations in NJ, PA and NY.  The presentation will close with a question-and-answer session.

Film Society

If you have a passion for discussing and learning about films, we invite you to join the Atlantic City Free Public Library Film Society. Membership is free and open to Library cardholders in good standing, who are 18 years of age and older.

Computer Basics 1 is a 4-day beginner computer training course covering two subjects: Basic Computer Skills and Internet Basics. Students are invited to create a Northstar Digital Literacy account to practice their skills both in and out of the classroom.

Description:
This is a one-day online training course accessible from the library’s computer lab. A staff member will be available to assist with technical difficulties. 


The On-Premise program is an online program designed for servers at restaurants, bars, hotels, in-store tastings, or other establishments where alcohol is consumed on the premises. Employees learn strategies that ensure responsible alcohol service, promote professionalism, and enhance customer service skills.

Atlantic County Reentry Task Force Meeting

Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Dates: September 26, 2024

Location: Online

The Task Force is a joint initiative between the Atlantic City Free Public Library and NJ State Parole Board. These meetings provide a forum for stakeholders to come together and share information and resources for the benefit of the justice-involved population. All are welcome to attend. Virtual Qigong

Fridays from 11 am – 12 pm 

Class participants will learn the ancient mind, body, spirit practice of Qigong (pronounced chee-kung). Through easy-to-learn breathing techniques, stretches and gentle flowing movements, participants will learn to keep the Qi (life force energy) flowing, helping to promote relaxation, balance and flexibility. Class is open to adults at all fitness levels. No experience required.
