First Steps:

Most of us do better when we are working in an environment that we like, so the first thing you need to do is figure out what kind of job would be best for you.  Consider the following...

• Are you solitary, or are you a people person?
• Are you the outdoors type, or do you prefer being inside most of the time?
• Do you get along well with children?
• Do you have any special talent with animals?
• Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high intensity environment?
• Are you a technohead, i.e. enjoy and understand computers?
• Are you service-oriented, i.e. enjoy helping people?

If you are not the kind of person who loves kids and doing arts and crafts, you may not want that job at the summer camp for toddlers!  Once you are able to define yourself, you can look around for openings in places that best suit your personal style.

Do wear clean, modest clothing in reasonable colors.          

Do wear shoes with reasonably sized heels.                      

Do make sure your hair is clean and styled neatly.

Do make sure you are bathed and body-odor free.             

Don't wear suggestive, shabby, tight clothing, or jeans.

Don't wear flip-flops, sneakers, or scanty sandals

Don't  wear radical hairstyles.

Don't  wear large, loud jewelry.

Don't wear cologne, perfume or heavily scented lotions.
