To access EPUB format eBooks and MP3 Audiobooks you'll need to download and install the OverDrive Media Console for Android

If you haven't installed any apps on your Kindle Fire yet, you'll need to follow these steps to set-up your Fire for app acquisition:

  • From the Home screen, tap the 'Quick Settings' icon and select More.
  • Tap Device.
  • Turn the switch for "Allow Installation of Applications" to the "ON" position.

Once you've turned on the app installation function, go to the Overdrive Media Console download page  (the Overdrive app is not available in the Amazon app store and your Fire can't access the Android Market).
