Ebsco Host Mobile

EBSCOhost is a great resource for finding scholarly journal articles from peer-reviewed publications.

After downloading the app follow these step it authenticate it:
1. Click the EBSCOhost iPhone/iPod Touch Application link at the bottom of  ACFPL's EBSCOhost homepage and enter your email address where an authentication key will be sent.
2. Access the email from your device and click the link found in the email to authenticate the application. You have 24 hours to access the key from your device to authenticate the app. If the key is not used within 24 hours, it expires and you will need a new key.

• Once it is authenticated, the app can be used for nine months, after which you
must send yourself a new authentication key from the EBSCOhost interface.




Gale AccessMyLibrary Public Edition

The AccessMyLibrary app give you access to Gale's databases directly to your iphone, ipod touch, ipad or Android device.

This gives you access to many reference eBooks about African & Hispanic heritage, biographies, business, health, and history.

You also have access many of Gale's popular databases such as: Biography in Context,

  • Opposing Viewpoints in Context
  • Literature Resource Center

  • Literature Criticism Online

There is no authentication or sign up to use app but you must be within a ten mile range of either of The Atlantic City Free Public Library branches. You can also use the libraries free wifi to access the databases while visiting.




referenceUSA

The ReferenceUSA iPad application can be downloaded from the iTunes Store. From job leads, to market research or to simply finding an old friend or family member, ReferenceUSA is a powerful tool for job seekers, entrepreneurs, marketing professionals and people hoping to reconnect with someone from their past.

Once you install the app, enter your library card number then select "New Jersey State Library"

OverDrive Media Console

Download eBooks and audiobooks from ACFPL's eBook lending website directly to your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Android phone or Tablet!

Mango Languages Library Edition

Learn languages everywhere you go with our free apps for iPhone®, iPod touch® and Android™. Mango Mobile Library Edition gives you access to all the Mango language courses offered through your library from the palm of your hand. For the apps to work, you must have an account with Mango set up through your ACFPL's mango website. Once the apps and lessons have been downloaded, you can learn at your own pace, with or without an internet connection.



Pronunicator

The world's largest language-learning program is now available for the iPad!

You must have a Pronunciator account with a library that subscribes to Pronunciator, or be an existing Pronunciator individual subscriber, to use this app.

Learn 75 languages in any of 50 languages, for a total of 3,750 available course combinations.

Plus, ESL for 50 non-English languages.
